Baked pavers – ‘kei’ format

Baked pavers are available in different formats. ‘Kei’ sized pavers are also sometimes referred to as 10-inchers or ‘buns’. The size of these pavers is 20×10 cm. Usually there are 50 required per square meter.

 

Baked pavers – ‘dik’ format

Another size of baked pavers is the ‘dik’ format, also called 7-incher. They have a size of 21×7 cm. Approximately 72 are required per square meter.

Baked pavers – ‘waal’ format

A third size of a baked paver is the ‘waal’ format. This ‘waal’ format is also sometimes referred to as 5-incher or (old) ‘Waaltjes’. The size of this paving stone is 20 × 5 cm and approximately 100 ‘waal’ sized pavers are required per square meter.

 

Baked pavers – ‘Rijn’ format

The last size of pavers, the ‘rijn’ format, is less common than pavers in ‘kei’, ‘dik’ or ‘waal’ format. ‘Rijn’ format pavers are also called (old) ‘rijn’ stones or triplets. The sizes of these stones are 17 × 4.5 × 8 cm. Approximately 125 pieces are required per square meter.
